    • You may have passed Dome Souvenirs Plus at some point on your way to a Twins or Vikings game at the Metrodome. As the stadiums change, so have the times, and owner Ray Crump Jr. adapted by moving from his original downtown Minneapolis location to St. Louis Park. “The majority of our business is done online, and we found we did not need to be next to the stadium.” The decision was hastened by the fact that the old building was falling apart and parking was limited. The new location is across from St. Louis Park High School and includes free parking. Crump says that in addition to stocking the shelves with Minnesota professional team goods, the store also carries St. Louis Park gear.

    • Minneapolis is losing another dome — the venerable sporting goods store Dome Souvenirs Plus. Next to what was the Metrodome since 1993, the store is closing this weekend and will reopen in St. Louis Park in mid-September.

    • Just as the Vikings prepare to play in the nearby stadium, Dome Souvenirs Plus will be moving from downtown Minneapolis after three decades.The souvenir shop has sold Minnesota Twins and Vikings merchandise to generations of fans just a stone’s throw from the Metrodome, the teams’ former home, since it moved to its current building in 1993. The store, started by former Twins equipment manager Ray Crump in 1986, will move to St. Louis Park at the end of August.
